OUR REVIEWS

Matthew was a fantastic and knowledgeable tutor.

He helped make a major CBSE score jump and I am so glad that I was able to work with him. He helped me devise a realistic plan, and came prepared for all sessions. He had a great ability to judge what was important information to know vs. minor details. I could not recommend Matthew enough to anyone trying to succeed with CBSE test prep.

Karan is literally the best tutor

Karan is literally the best tutor.
And he is the MOST patient teacher/tutor i have ever seen. He teaches as a question based way.
He patiently explains, goes over the question line by line, gives a clinical scenario and then explains related topics that would be linked to the topic in the question.
This method really helped me to answer my questions better and literally i have no words to explain how good he teaches.
He has a very calm vibe, so this puts you ar ease even if you get nervous doing questions.
if you don’t remember what you have learned he says “thats okay” in a very comforting way and then reviews and it then it clicks in your brain and im like “ah yes i remember now.”
thank you karan. Im glad that i have had you as a tutor.
Also elite tutoring is THE MOST professional company i have ever went and invested through.
i just wished i have done it before. and trust me i have done all types of tutoring. from other imgs and other company but elite by far is the best.

Great tutoring for step 1

EMT and Hassaan helped my child prep for step 1. The whole EMT team was very supportive. The schedule EMT created made it easier for my child to just study vs guessing what would be useful material to study or not. Prior to EMT, my child tried a combo of an online program/FAUWP for 6 weeks and had to postpone step one when they could not pass the CBSE required by the school to sit for step 1. In addition, their NBME scores were not going up into the passing range over the 6-week dedicated period. Hassaan met daily with my child over a 3.5-week period and it made a world of difference and a happy ending.

Allopathic student aced med school exams with EMT help

Denis has been working with me for the past year and a half. He has helped me with my Step 1 exam, OBGYN, Peds and Surgery shelf exams, and Step 2. He is the kindest, most sincere tutor there is. He goes way above and beyond for his students. He has always made me feel like his first priority. Not only does he prepare personalized presentations for each tutoring session, but he also has given me so many resources for studying such as study plans, textbooks, and videos to learn from. I can’t say enough good things about him.

He runs his sessions by doing questions and following them up with content related to the questions. He is great at explaining each concept slowly. He prepares questions from a variety of sources, including MedBullets, Amboss, UWorld NBMEs, and more. He has helped me build so much confidence in answering each question.

On top of being an amazing tutor, he is a constant source of support and motivation. He constantly emails me with encouraging words and also texts me to wish me luck the day before each exam and congratulates me afterward. He is genuinely happy to see me succeed. He knows when all of my exams are after I tell him the date once, and tailors the study sessions to become more and more high yield as the test date gets closer. Like which tutor does that for each student? He feels like family to me, that’s how much he cares about me succeeding. He also provided guidance on the ERAS application process and gave me resources for this, which he absolutely does not have to do.

I cannot recommend him enough. I am so so glad I found him through Reddit when I did. I owe all of my success on all of my examinations to him!

I have also been working with Hassaan for my Step 2 exam and he is also amazing. During our first session, he analyzed my performance on surgery topics and from there, we tackled each system and subject for Step 2 over the course of a few months. He made himself available at the times I could meet due to my busy schedule. He also did so much for me in terms of preparing me for my exam. He prepared questions and a high yield content review and provided me with the slides after the sessions. We also did some high yield reviews right before my Step 2 exam. Denis and Hassaan have both been extremely supportive of me. I ended up improving 70 points on my Step 2 exam and I could not have done it without their guidance. Martin, his assistant has also been incredibly helpful with scheduling sessions and making it so easy to work with them. Thank you so much again for everything, you both are the best!

CBSE success made possible after 4 attempts after reaching out to EMT - Canadian IMG

what a surreal journey it has been!!!
Denis and his team of EMT have been one of the best support system that have truly helped me with my journey of successfully PASSING my CBSE with a score of 220. I still can not believe it. Denis have been on the journey with me every step of the way since i was introduced to his tutoring service after failing my CBSE several times. From guiding me through the use of anki, B&B, Question banks, powerpoints tutoring lessons, moral support that that impacted me positively during this journey of being successful. He always make sure you understand the concept even if it takes you abit longer. He is so so patient with his students.
I find myself incorporating what i have learnt from my tutoring sessions with Denis to the way I study now. This means however way a question is presented, I will always understand what I am being asked and choose the best answer.
Before EMT, I was weak at Neuro, pharmacology, Micro, and Cardio. Now, they are part of my strength subjects/systems that I looked forward to answering every blocks.
Now, I cannot wait to share success story of my STEP 1 achievement very soon. Thank you so much Denis and the EMT team.

AMAZING TUTORING FOR MEDICAL BOARDS - 225 on USMLE Step 2 success story!

WOW, amazing tutoring service.
I am not one to write reviews but Denis and his whole team of tutors deserve going the extra step to let others benefit from this service. Elite Medical Tutoring is a personalized experience where they focus on your weaknesses and chisel you little by little until you are ready to take your medical boards. Each topic is presented in a detailed powerpoint presentation where the tutor is ready to fill any gaps and questions you have and they are quick at communicating and engaging with students. I am an IMG student, truly just an average student from a subpar university, however- with the help of Elite Medical Tutoring I was able to get a 225 on my Step 2 and felt supported the whole time. They are more than just tutoring, they coach you and support you during your hardest times. Studying for boards is tedious and makes you question how far you have come; this tutoring propelled me to take things to the next step. I would recommend them to any classmate or friend that is struggling or lost on how to tackle the USMLE STEPS.
10/10 would recommend

Canadian IMG from the Caribbean scored 227 on step!!!

I am a Canadian IMG from the Caribbean and have already used Denis for my CBSE prep. My goal was to score 220 on CBSE and got 215 after failing it twice before knowing Denis. My situation was a little complicated because I had a 1 year old baby! Denis was very understanding and helped me through each step of my preparation! I decide then to continue with him for my step preparation. My goal was to score 230 on Step. However, things were getting a little more complicated now because I gave birth to my second one during my step preparation. However I still managed to score 227!! (Guys don't do it if you don't have support!!) Denis still doesn't understand how I did it, but I keep telling him it's because of him (and my precious mother obviously :))) !! He kept updating my schedule, helped me settle anki, uworld and create new cards. He explained medicine to me like butter on bread!!! Honnestly guys, he makes you understand medicine as if he was Born for it and makes it even moreee fun!! He also makes sure you are doing fine and sees how your progress is going!! Guys, please do not waste your money elsewhere!! Denis is a sincere must Try and a Magician when it comes to MEDICINE!!! Thank you for everything Denis!! You are the best!!!!

Passed CBSE on 4th attempt after reached out to EMT - Canadian IMG

“I am a Caribbean Medical student who passed CBSE COMP shelf Exam on the 4th attempt thanks to DENNIS. After my 3rd attempt I was extremely upset and looking for guidance. My friend introduced me to DENNIS who helped me set my ANKI decks and made me the most ELITE schedule to become successful. I followed his schedule and kept up with my ANKI reviews everyday. It really helped me retain the material and improve my basic knowledge. I improved by 20 points thanks to DENNIS Anki review. I am now going to take him for my USMLE preparation as it is the most important exam of my life and for that I need the most important tutor in the world. Guys you will love DENNIS. He is smart, intelligent and he knows his material inside out. He also offers class sessions and he's a master of his craft. You Can't go wrong with DENNIS. Spend the money and thank me later!”

Success story made possible by Elite Medical Tutor - 240+ on Step 1 - Allopathic student

“We all know how the resources we have to use and what we should be doing to perform to our best potential. What is less talked about and I believe extremely important for step is your mentality leading up to and during the exam. Let me tell you my story. I am a chronic sufferers of imposter syndrome. Even before med school I’ve always thought that I wasn’t good enough. When I succeed at things I barely credit my hard work. I attribute most of it to luck or chance. I don’t have the belief that as long as I work smart and hard I will succeed. I believe there are many medical students like this. And if you aren’t I promise you will most likely reach a period in dedicated where you feel like you can’t do this that you can’t reach your goal. This mentality is a no no especially when it comes to exams such as step 1. For step 1 your mentality matters. A lot. During dedicated all of these issues I had with self efficacy and confidence became very apparent to me. When I did well on a uworld block I always thought that block was a fluke. On uwsas and nbmes when I did well I told myself the exam happened to test my strengths. I doubted I would reach my goal score even though it was still the first week of dedicated.

This is when I reached out to @emetryestep1tutor He told me he was positive that I can reach my goal to and to continue to work hard and not make any decision about whether to delay step based on a few assessments/ He provided the encouragement and validation that I needed. He gave me feedback on what I needed to do. I listened to him and updated him with my scores which were steadily increasing.

By the end of my prep the score predictor had me in the mid-high 240s.

I canceled my exam three times due to anxiety and trouble sleeping. I canceled my vacation and by the the third “attempt” at getting a good nights sleep I couldn’t cancel my exam further because rotations were starting. The night of my exam I slept about 3 hours.

I was calm on test day and felt like I was just going through the motions. I made dumb mistakes like everyone and didn’t know how to feel overall. I ended up getting my goal score and I honestly credit it to @emetryrestep1tutor . No he is not paying me to write this.

Throughout my long dedicated he gave my advice and encouragement to keep going. Dedicated is hard. All of my friends admitted to crying at least once during dedicated. Its a turmoil of emotions and you have to keep that mentality that you can do it going. Before I took step 1 I would not have recommended getting a tutor to anyone. But after going through this process I highly recommend reaching out to @emetyrestep1tutor during your prep. He will provide you with the advice and encouragement that no one in your circle can (due to credibility, he has helped hundreds of students). He will give you tangible feedback. If you are struggling with certain topics he will break them down to the basics in a way that you understand.

I am very happy that I reached out to him and can’t thank him enough for his help. I am an allopathic student and got my score in the 240s which was surreal to me.”

177 on practice tests - 214 on USMLE Step 1 - US IMG

“Hi! I am writing this review hoping it helps YOU find the answers to your questions. I am an US IMG student, very dedicated student but also average when it comes to standardized testing. I started with terrible NBME scores and at my highest I could not score above 175-195. I was FRUSTRATED of all the time I was putting into “prolonged-dedicated” without any results. It was at best - an emotional rollercoaster. Month after month, I was devastated with my lack of progress. I would ask myself: Why did my scores not increase if I was doing everything I *thought* was right. How could I great at clinical and then get crappy UW/NBME scores? Then comes self sabotage -You know what I am talking about : Thinking you will never pass it, making your crappy scenarios in your head, trying to cram material so fast you burn out and then need 2 days to recover. Procrastinating watching a bunch of YouTube videos on “how to Get a 260”. Get the hell out of here. On October I decided to look for a professional tutor and found Elite Medical Tutoring on Reddit through other people who recommended him. LISTEN *slow claps* He is *THE * TUTOR/COACH you NEED. When I met Denis, I never imagined how crucial he was to getting an amazing score of 214 - YEAH, BABY - never taking that bullsh*t exam again. After plateauing at NBME on the 190s for months of hard work… I am very proud of my 214 :) Legit, that how I feel. From day 1, He offered an amazing attitude with all the knowledge I needed. He made a custom schedule and helped me from start to finish. Initially, I was in denial about Anki and he helped me set it up and gave me every deck and resource I needed along the way. Denis also checked on various occasions my progress to make sure I could keep up the pace, and when I was having a hard time, he even customized it. He was able to recognize what material I was weak on. I had a lot of gaps on material, or quite frankly -a jambalaya of information. It was all in my head , but when I saw questions - I panicked “ It’s B, wait… C also sounds possible…and also E….” Dennis has the disposition to teach and man, Denis is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AT IT. He would create a whole powerpoint on the subject, find different angles to tackle material. Then he prepared practice questions to test material and topic mastery. He will email me to check on my understanding/progress and was always able to clarify any doubts between sessions. He is way more than a tutor, he was my coach. He always encourage me to be the best version of myself. He is committed to his students and wants you to learn and pass…he spent the time necessary for me to understand - and even on occasions I *still* got the material confused, he will patiently explain again and find alternative ways to make it stick. The explanations he gives are relatable, understandable, and worth it. It wasn’t straight up memorization (i.e receptors); rather he would intertwine (receptors, signaling, muscles, etc) them so you could see the whole picture and not just random isolated-FA-mental-snapshots. He guided me on what test to take for preparation and most importantly on how to keep the right attitude throughout the whole process. Days before the exam - it was show time. He made study guides and HY information I could refresh on. Medicine -despite it’s beauty- can be a lonely and depressive path; Denis made it so seamless to navigate and stay motivated. He messaged me the day before the exam, was available if I needed him, and encouraged me afterwards ( ALL THE WAY UNTIL I RECEIVED MY EXAM- wowza)-reassuring me, I had given my best! I plan with certainty on using Elite Medical Tutoring for my Step 2 preparation. I could keep bragging, but you should be getting back to studying, my friend . If your medical school lacked teaching you what you needed for STEP -> Denis is your guy If your medical school did not provide you guidance ->Denis is your guy If you don’t know where to start and feel overwhelmed ->Denis is your guy If you need a realistic schedule and did not start anki decks at age 7 like Zanki ->Denis is your guy If you are spending a lot of time studying and your UW/NBME/Self-assessments are not reflecting it —> Denis is your guy Reach out to him, trust me. #NoRagrats #meme #IYKYN”

Got 215 on CBSE, after several failed attempts and saved 10 000 $ on a school-required review course after started to work with us - Canadian IMG

“Hello everyone, so I am a Canadian IMG student. I have failed CBSE twice with 168 and 185 respectively. I only had 1 more chance left otherwise my carrabean medical school requires that you take back FCM (4 Month long lectures given by prof online to review some medical topics + 10 000 us$). I had no intention in going through this process at all. Hence, I contacted some of my friends who passed their comprehensive exam and asked them what they did differently. One of my friend referred me to Denis. At first, I did not want to try because she mentionned he uses Anki for one of his technique and I HATED ANKI. She told me she hated anki too but it really helped her pass her own CBSE. At this point, I decided to give it a try. I was very amazed by the first online appointment with Denis. Not only he is very smart and a genius, but he is super funny and makes medicine so much easier (I honnestly wish he was my professor for most of my medical courses). He then created a schedule according to my needs and lifestyle since I got a baby during medical school (veryyy challenging everyone!! Don't do it if you don't have support :)) ! I was aiming for 220 with Denis and I got 215 on my CBSE so I was very happy. I will definitely keep him for my STEP prep. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ANYWHERE ELSE EVERYONE!!! During dedicated I had 1-2 sessions with Denis where he offered me some help on struggling topics. He helped set up my anki and told me what decks he thought I should use to optimize both pre-dedicated and dedicated studying. Just overall a very knowledgeable guy. He also kept my morale high throughout dedicated with frequent check ins and has kept in touch post score release as well. Failed CBSE 4 times, got a pass (204) on 5th attempt after reached out to us - Canadian IMG

So i am a Canadian IMG (Caribbean med school). Did pretty decent in med school all the way through. Only problem arose at the end when our school was required to complete the COMP NBME (CBSE) with a passing grade of 194.

Now the problem when you learn to memorize material to get though all your classes is that you think you understand the material and concepts but when it comes time to apply the knowledge/diagnose the question i fell flat. Mostly because i kept second guessing myself. Iv taken the CBSE in my previous attempts i think i started at 149 on my first predictor CBSE, then worked my way up to the 160s then 172 then 182 then my recent ones have been 188( Dec 2020). I finally passed with a score of 204. Now let me walk you through why things changed, for the better...

For my CBSE i was studying UFAP method ;) . Which is not the best strategy for CBSE IMO, i did this along with the mandatory Kaplan course that was required for our school at the end when leaving the islands and coming back home to start step1. I did this studying for a year straight and my marks were slowly incrementally improving. Finally after failing so many times i decided to get some help so after searching the Reddit forums i came across this post https://www.reddit.com/r/step1/comments/jai8me/my_cbse_after_5_attempts_and_step_1_experience/

I was so tired of failing the CBSE and wasting my time, i decided to give this a try and ended up contacting u/EmetyreStep1Tutor , Denis.

After our thorough first meeting everything started to change for the better. This man Denis! ( really cool guy) basically saved me from quitting the path in medicine since i was so fed up with studying and getting minimal results, I went straight for the top package he had because at that point failing 5 times and wasting all that time i really didn't care about the cost. He showed me that i really can pass this exam, and not to stress so much. I stopped doing the UFAP method (remember to save that for STEP1 only, not for CBSE COMP) and he came up with a regular schedule for me which i followed to the dot lol. We also had regular weekly sessions and he even went ABOVE and beyond and really gave me the tutoring/mentoring/encouragement that i needed in order to believe in myself.

In my last attempt on the CBSE i was able to walk in confidently to that exam knowing i had the knowledge to give my 110% effort after everything i had learned. For the first time i had felt like that smart student i knew i was when i had first entered medical school It was a great feeling. After writing that test i finally took a proper break i deserved after a year and a half.

After what seemed like forever(waiting for the test results) I finally got them back. I had believed in my mind after everything and the tutoring i had finally passed. I told Denis i was aiming with a score for 210 (NBME 24- 210, last week of Jan 2021 after studying with Denis for about a month and a half) and ended up getting a score i was comfortably happy with 204.

Guys/gals, im telling you if you're studying with CBSE comp or step1 prep and having trouble or just need that last push, i highly recommend getting in contact with Denis; https://www.reddit.com/user/EmetyreStep1Tutor . Not only will you save yourself from your own doubts but also save time as well. I have never met anyone so decided to MY success (other than myself). He really cares and wants you to pass. The goals you have set for yourself and very achievable and doable, some of us may have tripped up and fell down(many times) but with the right guidance and help we can get what we had first set out to achieve.

If you guys/gals are getting the same results and are not happy maybe its time to change up and contact Denis. I'm going to continue my tutoring with him for step1. I aiming really high for the step1 for myself.

30 points score improvement - US allopathic student

Hi everyone. I recently took and passed Step 1. I reached out to Dennis about 2 months before my exam. I was so blown away by the amount of time and dedication went into his preparations for our sessions and how much he genuinely cared about my success. It was the first time a tutor has done so much for me and I am so grateful to his guidance during my studying period.

For each session, Dennis created a personalized PowerPoint for a topic that we would be discussing, each time it was different. Most of the time we went over a system in 1-2 sessions. He had multiple choice questions that were integrated in, as well as relevant pictures and diagrams. He would use his drawing tool to further explain difficult concepts. He would also ask a question from the previous session in the next session to make sure I was retaining the information. He is extremely knowledgeable and never made me feel stupid if I didn't know the answer to anything. Rather, he explained it in a calm way, and he also made it very enjoyable and made me feel really smart for the things I did know.

Another thing he did was he would go and look through my old NBMEs and screenshot my wrong answers along with information about it. We would spend time going over my wrong answers and this helped me tremendously. Additionally, he would input my NBME scores into the score predictor sheet and update it with every session. Dennis also recorded each and every session and would email it to me after meeting, it was so helpful to look back at past sessions. He also created a plan of studying for me and a fine tuned one about 10 days from my exam.

Dennis also took out the time to email me every few days to ask me how things were going. He was so encouraging and in every email reminded me it would be worth it and I would do great. He even emailed me in the days leading up to my exam, the day before, and the morning of to wish me good luck. He also kept in touch after my exam when I was nervous about whether or not I had passed. These are all things he did not have to do but made a world of a difference. It meant so much that he cared so much, you could tell by the way he went above and beyond to help me succeed.

Overall, Dennis was an amazing tutor and he really helped me to understand difficult topics for test day. He was truly invested in my success and it helped to have someone support me during this insanely difficult journey. He made me feel more confident in myself, and my score improved 30 points over the course of meeting with him 2-3x/week. I highly recommend Dennis for anyone who needs support during studying.

Thank you so much for everything you have done for me Dennis!!
